To be a woman…

To be a woman
is to be a question that has no answer,
a permanent enigma
in the mind of an unconscious world.

It is to give birth to light
from the darkness that you have not chosen,
to build the meaning of life
in a world that often does not even know your meaning.

To be a woman
is to walk on an invisible wire,
maintaining the balance
between pain, dream and humility.

It is to be multiple times
a daughter, a mother, a shadow, a memory,
and still remain yourself,
in the labyrinth of roles that others have given you.

To be a woman
is to carry silence
as an inner philosophy,
that speaks more
than the voices of stories written by men.

To be a woman
is to be the body of life
and the mind of infinity,
is to be a spiral of creation
that cannot be measured by logic.

Because to be a woman
is to be the very question:
what is man?
